So I just got two Pro2's for my 90g long. A 60 and a 90.

I'm having issues putting both into a single control group, are you unable to use two different size lights in a single control group?

Also been tempted to get the shades for them, they are expensive and want to know if they are worth it? Reviews say they don't actually attach and the slightest tao and they fall off.

i have two 90cm WRGB2 Pro's and was able to put them into a single control group but, yeah, they're the same size so not quite your use case. I could see maybe an issue with different models in one control group but different sizes seems odd....like all things with the app setting up a control group wasn't the most intuitive and took a lot of 'stumbling around'....good luck!

I don't have the shades

Was starting the control group simply dragging each light into the control group?

Here's what I'm getting.

Can you drag and drop each onto one of the plus signs then hit create??
Nope, the second picture is what happens.... I can't even save light brightness on one light and load it on the other. They act like they are different types of lights and incompatible with each other :(. You would think we the amount they charge for these lights, that they would have a halfway decent app.

I remember stop/starting the app a couple of times and control group set up may have been one of those times as I seem to recall having difficulty dragging a 2nd light into the group and getting the 'less than two' error as well....definitely not a great answer, however, the control group has been acting without issue once set up

If it's not working for your specific lights, is there a reason you can't just set them up the same and have them run seperately from each other?
Yea, I have them currently set up individually, but it's a pain in the ass. There is no on/off switch on the lights themselves. So having to go into the app and go to each light and manually turn each one off is annoying. Also trying to get the color right in the tank when half the tank is off or a different color is challenging. Not to mention I can't load settings between the two lights because the app doesn't register them as the same type of light....

I had much higher hopes for a light that costs this much. However, they make the tank look amazing.

It's night and day between how the plants look under the different lights.

So are you not setting up light cycles? IE ramp up and ramp downs

On my 45cm light I have it turn on at noon and ramp up for an hour and then ramp down at 6 before turning off at 7. I haven't messed with the app in awhile but there used to be a quick setup for setting up the ramp up and down, intensity, and color temp. If you do that you can save the setting and theoretically load it onto the other light, or just set it up in the same way. If I had to log into the app to turn on the lights everyday I would've thrown it out the freaking window by now, even after all the trouble I went through to get it in the first place

EDIT: Beautiful tank by the way, I can't wait to be able to keep a larger tank.

Of course, I got a ramp ups/downs, a siesta, and a moonrise. Once I get it fine tuned I'll probably never touch it again unless I have special circumstances.

But since they are newer, stronger lights, I'm going to be fiddling with the lighting to find the sweet spot for the tank, wether that be in total time on or intensity. Just sucks the amount of changes I need to do just cause the app doesn't see them as compatible. And the changes are easy, setting the time is a giant circle that's super sensitive, can't just type in the time have to click and drag, and half the time you don't get the right time, it's off by a minute or two, which when setting it for both lights you can't be a minute off.

You can set your RGBW settings on the Customize tab to the exact minute....I wrote about it here

I don't use the customize tab, auto works well enough for now. With the auto, I only have to set 6 times with 3 light intensity per light, where the custom it is 12 time points and 12 light intensity.

Since I use two seistas it works in the auto mode.
