Hi!! I was wondering if anyone has any cherry shrimp available. I'm located near birch run but work in royal oak so I could meet near one of those or somewhere in between. Also, any fish supply stores anyone would recommend in the area, I went to one and was not thrilled in the least. Thanks in advance!!!

My previous employer Somethin's Fishy would be the closest, or Oceans odyssey pet store (oops) for short.

Last I knew they were in stock with cherries, not high grade sakuras but 3.99 instead of the 5.99 around I usually see in our state.

Pm or post here about your experience at the store, perhaps others have more info.

A lot of our members are new to the hobby, and have never done shipping with live critters. This time of year can be difficult to ship living creatures.

Some people like shopping local, others may even be looking for an easy way to introduce themselves here with a simple way.

OP any updates?

Thanks for the info!! I'll check out somethin's fishie. And I'm not an idiot, I know I can order them online. The problem was that everywhere I looked online that had shrimp available right now was in California. I'm not going to ship shrimp from California in the winter. Plus they were all on 15 or more shrimp. I only wanted to start off with a few since I've never had them before. Also, since I've never had them before I would rather talk to someone in person to make sure I'm not going to just kill them, and to ensure I get the right supplies for them. I thought that's what forums like this were for?

Thank you to the person that was actually helpful on here though!

I don't know what's with the constant posting from people looking for things like this on here when you can easily find and order them online for not very much through ebay or somewhere else like amazon.
You don't? The answer is simple.
Always better to put eyes on your investment if possible rather than risk shipping loss and or quality issues.
Unless you have previous experience with a seller you never know what you are going to get.
Been on both sides of the that.
Sometimes have been beyond pleased with under represented and over delivery and also have had my online disappointments.
Eyes on wins every time if available for me. you know what you are getting as you selected it.
Perhaps buying from someone on here offers a higher chance of satisfaction comparable to local purchase.
I have purchased from people on here and have yet to be disappointed.
