Male shrimp tend not to be that red sometimes and you can see inside them.

Sorry for the bad picture quality, he/she wasn't cooperating. The entire abdomen seems to be white instead of see-through like my other shrimps. It's only the abdomen as far as I can see though....from thorax upwards it's fine.

It's hard to tell from the picture. It could be a parasite. They can get some amazingly long worms (2-4" inside a 1" shrimp) that curl up inside their bodies. I'd try to catch it and either get a better picture or take a really good look with a magnifying glass. If it looks like the shrimp has white intestines, there ya go.

I have a male that looks a lot like that pic. It's been that way since it was big enough for me to see it individually. At first I thought it was going to die for whatever reason, but he's been alive and colored like that for 6 months or more now.
