I am thinking of adding one of these to further clarify my water. Which one would work better for a planted tank.

I have used chemipure for many a year, I never had a problem, but others might have.

Difference is Chemipure has Carbon , and I think Purigen does not.

I just picked up the 500ml bottle and a bag from seachem. Popped half of it into the canister and tank looks great. I have purigen in all 4 of my tanks.

The 100ml bags are a bit more but easier because they come packaged. I use them in every tank

Chemipure elite I believe removes phosphates or claim's to, so maybe would not use it in planted tank but original chemipure would be suitable.
