I built 2 Cerges reactors for my "project 155g"
I decided to make the inline heater and the Cerges into 1 compact unit to try and save some space, while making it easier to run all the hoses.

Here is the end result.

Timmy- I will try to dig up that part number, you can use the 1" or 1-1/4" one, as long as your heater fits in the minimum/maximum of the grip.

Freeman- I run one on the 65g and one on the 90g. They each are connected to their own Eheim 2217. One reactor/heater .....
(heatactor lol) unit per tank. I'm up in Canada, I let the house temps drop to 65 for a week and the tank temps didn't budge at all. The 90g has an Eheim pro as well. Each filter intake and return are on opposite sides of the tank. Temps are the same on both sides of the 90g. The 90g has a 250w heater, the 65g is a 200w heater.

Nice.

Any guess-timate of how much % of water outflow has reduced with this design? (lift outlet out of tank water to judge by eye/touch)
I like to time myself filling a 5g bucket and them extrapolate the results to get GPH (commonly used parameter for flow around here).

Also, @The Big Buddha, if it works then go with it! It seems you have even heating with this design. Side note, my house in Florida gets colder than yours in Canada. :grin2: LOL I also don't run the heat at all during the winter though (unless my wife DEMANDS it!)

It's not uncommon for -22F up here. I let the house temps drop because I was waiting on my wood for heating.
If you get the chance, Google "1998 ice storm Quebec"

If I had to "eyeball" the flow rate, which I did after hooking up the first one and comparing it to the second 2217 that wasn't going through any reactor, I would guesstimate about 20% decrease.

I get zero bubbles in the tanks, rarely do I even see bubbles in the reactor chamber. I guess the flow/pressure is the sweet spot on this setup. Or maybe because my co2 input is a good 6" above the reactor I am getting good absorption on the way to the reactor. There is a bleed button on the reactor, but the Heyco cord grip is a great system bleed as well. On startup there was air trapped in the top of the heater tee, but a quick loosening of the Heyco bled the air out perfectly. I have cracked open the Heyco a couple times since setup with zero co2 or air coming out of it, only water.
