Can anyone share their experience with combining Cryptocoryne lucens with Marsilea hirsuta for a carpet in medium light with CO2? Are they comparable in size and growth rate or will one outcompete the other? I currently have parva and hirsuta in separate areas in one tank but I can see parva is too slow and too small to compete in a mix.

Lucens might be a little too much. I attempted this but the crypts overtook the hirsuta. That's how it played out in my tank anyway. They were competitive and growing well together for a couple months but as the lucens grew in it shadowed the hirsuta and killed it. I was using diy CO2, though, which isn't as effective as normal CO2.
