Going a little bit out of town tomorrow and wanted to hit some of the shrimp breeders in Toronto, and one told me they have CARIDINA FORMOSAE. Any idea what they look like, conditions, etc? I can't find much about them online.
My Tangerine Tigers are believed to be in the same family of shrimps. Similar dot and stripe patterns, except mine is fully orange. Nice looking shrimps that pic you linked to. They will cross breed with Caridinias.
Old thread, but as I like the look of c. formosae a lot, I liked to add this link from Andreas Karge's website (PDF): http://www.caridea.de/archiv/pdf/caridina_formosae.pdf It is nearby the serrata group, but a different species.
Yeah from what I can tell these are pretty hard to come by I say get them if they are not to expensive these are " red tangerines" or so I heard you lucky ducky
