I have 13 cardinals. I lightly feed currently because I am in the tail end of my cycle. Almost done (colony, 6days).

I notice some (around 4-5) of the tetra have a more round Nellie than the others. The others seem very slim.

I am worried that they might have an issue. All behave great, eat great, super active, and show nice color.

I know females supposed to be more round, but is this what it looks like?

Check out the pics in my gallery and let me know what you think please.

Just for an update:

So I had a real good look at my young cardinals this morning and guess what, no bellies. It appears my initial suspicion was correct. They were just really fully from eating all the ram eggs that was laid the day before.

The rams are first time lovers and are terrible or at least this past time they were bad at protecting the eggs against the 13 cardinals.

The bellies were just full of food aka ram eggs :)
