Hello everyone. I have two cardinal plants that have melted on the bottom. They have fresh growth up top and the stems/roots seem to be okay. They are in a new tank (~2 weeks old) so I know this is to be expected.

Will they regrow leaves at the bottom? Or should I trim the tops off and replant them? And if the latter is the recommendation when should I do this? Should I wait for the new growth to establish for a few weeks more?

Leaves will never regrow from the bottom. What you may have eventually would be roots I like trimming it and regrowing it, separating it into two plants.
