I'm noticing it's about that time to change carbon again
using an AC 110
If I do daily water changes, is it even worth carbon
A lot of people have been suggesting, I use a sponge/bio bag/sponge combo
That make any sense to you guys?

I don't use carbon at all. Most people don't also. Your plants supposedly use up all the fish waste and other bio-load byproducts. My water does not smell. Maybe a bit of yellowish. I only do 10% water change every other day.

I just use filter flossing in my filters. For biological filtration, I have 2 bio wheels. I don't need any filter medias.

I look at carbon as something you use to solve a very specific problem. If you don't have a problem that carbon solves, you don't need carbon. I'd run it only if the water smelled bad, or to remove meds or get that yellow in the water out, and then only long enough to solve the problem.

Since your doing daily water changes, I doubt if you'll have those problems.

One thing about not using it. It's easy enough to add back if you find you need it. It's not like you got to tear the tank down.
