Canada native plants

I was visiting a river/lake the other day at Oakville, Canada (within Toronto area), and I found this plant that grows on land and in the water, I wonder if anyone knows what it is. I didn't intent to ID the plant so the shots are not very clear, consider that as a challenge to you guys!






A close up shot while I was shooting what appears to be frog eggs. I believe there are two kinds of plants on either side of this photo.

I don't think that's frog eggs. Probably deer droppings.

Sorry, but I've no clue on the plants.
Well the snow just melted and temps have finally warmed up, so Im guessing it might be those tall water plants that grow at the edges of lakes and stuff.
