Can you help identify this?

I have these little "hairs" on my Italian Vals.. It doesn't have a color so I didn't think it was algae.. any ideas ? Have you all seen this before?

Looks like the start of hair algae. Definitely algae.

That seems odd to me, it's only on the Vals.. and I don't have any nitrate or Phosphate spikes to speak of...

I'll keep an eye on it.
