Until the plant starts getting proper nutrients, it may be off on color or leaf shape
and or size. But someone my still recognize it and let you know which kind it is.

A java fern with algae.

Definitely not a Java fern.
Scarlet temple maybe? Judging by leaf shape.
Leaves are green emerged and under lower lighting.

I picked it up at a local aquarium store yesterday, called them back and they have no idea. It has little flower like bells that are green at each node.

Sounds like Ammannia gracilis. Better pic would help.

TY. I think you have identified this for me. The stem grew over night and has turned dark pink. beautiful plant I am extremely happy.
