If the water has high GH value, say 200+ppm, can plants experience calcium deficiency? Would it be possible that the water has high ion of magnesium but relative low on calcium?

calcium deficiency is pretty rare if you do frequent water changes. It might be some other deficiency that seems like calcium like magnesium, boron or something.

You can buy calcium test kits for saltwater. Not sure if they work for freshwater or not. Easy way would be to dose some calcium.

But most likely as mistergreen said it's more likely to be a shortage of something else.
