Other than fish stress, can i have other consequences?

Most times I only get chance to do water changes at night, once the kids are asleep in bed. Confuses the fish a bit when I have to put the lights back on, but otherwise not found it any different to daytime w/c's. If you have CO2 then maybe better than daytime w/c as your not removing CO2-infused water when the plants need it.

In 30+ years of changing water in aquariums at all times of day, I have never seen that the time of day of change was important to health of fish.

Yes, I always change my water at night after my son is in bed. He likes to get into everything.. so just doing it after that is much easier lol
