Californian hornwart turning brown

Hi, can somebody give me some advice please. I moved house a while back and I moved my tank before the time so that it can be cycled by the time I moves. Then I planted it with Californian Hornwart which, true to form, took off and grew like crazy and then started taking on a brownish color and it virtually stopped growing. The water parameters are fine, the temperature is around 27°C, the mollies breed mike crazy, the neon tetras are not dying, in fact they seem very happy. I do a 20% water replacement every 14 days and I use borehole water from a source that as also used for bottled water. The only technology I have is the filter, lights and air pump, to you could call it no tech. Oh yes, and the tank size is 252 liters. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Do you dose any fertilizers? If not, the hornwort probably used up all the available nutrients in the water and now is starved/nutrient deficienct.
Thanks, that makes sense since I did not dose at all.

I have to agree with this. You probably need to start dosing ferts or just thin out the hornwort.
Just a quick update: I did not dose any fertilizer or change anything but my hornwart lost all the brown leaves and sprouted new green ones and they are back to growing like crazy. Thanks for all your advice, I will remember it if this ever happens again.
