Buying Jebo Canister Filter

I have a huge Jebo canister filter and have had no problems with it at all for 2 years. However, it's VERY hit or miss with Jebo. You can either get an awesome filter that lasts forever, or you can get one that blows up within two weeks. It's your decision whether you want to take the chance or not. If you do get one, I would keep it outside the stand for a few weeks just to make sure the top doesn't explode in a confined space lol. If you don't want to take the chance, get a used canister filter off craigslist or the recycler. You can normally find a few really good ones there for pretty cheap. Just sterilize them and get new filter media.

In terms of flow, I always go with canister filters. If you're worried about power just get a smaller filter

thanks for the response, i'll look for used canister here locally first. then take a look at the Jebo stuff.

Check this out for a real easy setup and reliable system. This will be my next large tank system.

If the poster can't afford a decent canister filter they sure as shooting can't afford a Rainbow system. You are $150 bucks into one module and a pump.

Yes, I forgot about the availability of spendable funds. My Bad.......I have been saving up for a couple months to acquire one of these systems. One peice at a time and few days of OT at the job...........gotta hide the extra cash from the kids....they like to spend as fast as the wife......lol.....:smile:
Especially since Xmas and four birthdays during the holiday season are around the corner.
