Im looking for a reputable person purchase a bulk order of driftwood. I have a 75g and 40b that i need a lot of driftwood for. I figure its cheaper to just buy alot of it.

I get mine from the coast during summer visits to Maine. It's a nice way to make sure no one's in a rain forest somewhere hacking down exotic hardwood just to keep my epiphytes happy. Have you tried scanning the beaches of Florida?
The beach is a good resource. If I lived closer to the coast, that is what I would do! Just soak the wood, scrub it with some bleach water, soak in de chlorinator and weigh it down! I've started to eye local rivers and old, died out, dead, trees. Lots of local options. A dead mangrove tree would be top notch. One that has fallen and you can get the roots. Not sure on the legality of that, so I'd just call FFaWL or whatever they are these days.

Mangrove protection is serious business. Stick to the beaches!

:surprise:

Well! That's why I said call! The local authorities are always glad to answer questions. Sometimes it's "Sure! Collect 'X' lbs of rock." Or it's, "You'll end up in jail if you're caught."

I guess stick to finding pieces that are adrift already. Don't go trimming!

hit up the evil bay

if you get driftwood from nature I would definitely toss it in the oven for a couple hours or give it a nice boil just to be safe.
I guess i should be more specific. I want to do a bulk order i want 50-100 lbs of wood. I dont want to spend days walking beaches and parks looking for that much.

Tried to pm you with some info on where I got bulk from, but your inbox is full.

I don't want to post to avoid vendor review issues.
Just emptied it, should work now 😀

You want to talk with Tom Barr. Not sure if he frequents this site much anymore; but should be easy enough to find over at his forum: User Profile - Aquarium Plants - Barr Report

Didn't work, still getting message.

Welcome to Sea Corals - Real Aquarium Grade Coral & Rock Has an 8 piece Malaysian pack.

PM me to discuss.
Hit up your local landscapers. See if you can look through their debris piles. Lots of shrubs have really amazingly twisted roots and i'm sure you can find plenty of stuff there. easily enough to fill both your tanks
