Buck a gallon.

Both Petsmart and Petco apparently! Do they usually do them at the same time? I think when I got my last $1/gallon tank at Petco, Petsmart wasn't running the same promotion... Anyways, Petsmart's promotion only goes until October 2, I think, and I guess has been running since the end of August (? according to my local ad anyways).

That is true - I think sales changed Aug 29th. It will be interesting to see if the sale continues beyond that. Sometimes sales will continue and just get new sales tags that have the new later date.

I don't recall if the last sale at Petsmart matched up with around the time Petco did their sale. I'll have to pay attention more closely when I see they go on sale.

I bought a new 20 long at Petsmart earlier this week or maybe it was late last week. Anyways, pleased with the aquarium.

I was just reading about this. They're both selling Aqueons (IIRC), so Petsmart decided to join in the fun. That's a win for the consumer -- and my MTS affliction. :wink2:

The email I got from Petco stated specifically that they are adding the 75 gallon tanks to the $1/gallon sale, but it says "available in select stores while supplies last." I remember when they had the $1/gal sale last time, some people here were saying they were getting 75 gallon tanks at $1/gallon at their local Petco, so I guess they are officially expanding it this time around. However, I looked at online print circular ads linked from several different states' individual Petco stores' sites online, and they were all the same; none mentioned the 75s in the sale, so I guess you just have to ask at each store. (I would ask the manager directly, instead of a peon who may not know about the new deal.) Maybe Petco is doubling-down by adding the 75 gallons because Petsmart has started their own $1/gallon sale and they want to one-up them.(?) I wouldn't mind snagging a couple of those this time around.

I scored two new 40Bs at my local Petsmart. It would be nice if they added he 75G to the mix....I know Id certainly upgrade an old scratched 55G I have to a brand new 75G with that deal. lol

The only downfall of Petco is they do not offer site to store...in my area the only way you can score a tank over 20G is to do site to store the day the sale drops. lol

I just called the Petco I frequent and the 75 is in fact part of the sale. Guy told me that the only time they get 75s in is for the sale. Alas they sold the 3 they had.
Should get more in next Friday.
