I would like to attach the buce rhizome to the branch that sticks out closes to the glass middle of tank.
Will it be okay to attach it to the moss or should I strip the moss and only attach it to the driftwood?
It will be okay to attach it directly to the moss. The roots will find their way to the wood (geotropism).

Many Bucephalandra have some moss on their roots when shipped from a farm (I can't quite say the same if it's collected from nature, though most Buces grow in/near moss from collection pictures). I have tended to take most the moss off. However, I haven't seen any ill effects from those with a lot of moss on it. I think periodic trimmings should be fine.
