This stuff is being sold over at Aquabid. You can read (very little) about it here.

Anyone here have any experience with it? The description of it is rather vague. He doesn't say if it is inert, or if it as any chemical effect. It looks just like really fine gravel possibly mixed with kitty litter (the light grey color)?

I don't know. Couldn't find anything about it on Google. So I turned to the experts. What do you guys think?

Someone a while back mentioned this "unknown" substrate, claiming they found it at petco. To me, it just looks like normal pea gravel - but who knows what it is. I'd get a small sample of it and try to grow some plants in it if i were you before buying a whole bunch. There seems to be very little information/no reviews on this substrate, so if you decide to test it out, let us know how it works!

Ya... looks like gravel and kitty litter. I showed my fiance the picture without your statements and she instantly identified it as the same.

A lot of words come to mind to describe the product, but at $30 for 3 gallons of kitty litter mixed gravel, all I can really do is roll my eyes and sigh.
