If it wipes off easily with a paper towel or your finger. It is Diatoms. Just wait it out. It will pass if you have plants. That's what I do.

my tank starting to grow brown spot algae all over the front glass how do i treat it?

430 watts on for 6 hours a day for a 180 gallons tank

fert: seachem flourish and potassium
