I'm sure its possible if you live in the right area. I know people successfully breed angelfish in outdoor ponds/tubs (even near me in NY) and they too tend to prefer warm water like rams (but angels seem to tolerate slightly cooler water than rams do in general). So long as you dont push the envelope and get them back inside before your overnight temps are dropping too low I'm sure you could successfully keep them outside....whether or not they successfully breed for you is a different story altogether though!
I've managed to do it here in Florida, it wasn't completely successful though. I bred just enough to make up for the losses over the 4 months I did it. Temps range from 100 during the day to mid 80's at night.
