Hi,

Has anyone successfully breed CRS with shrimplets surviving in a Hi-Tech planted tank?

I managed to get my 4 of my adult CRS berried. but still no shrimplets spotted after 3 weeks had gone after eggs hatched.

I'm dosing lean daily for my 100litres
- K 1.5ppm
- N 2.0ppm
- P 0.5ppm (alternate days)
- Fe/Trace 0.03ppm (alternate days)

CO2 abt 2.5 bubbles per second.

Temperature about 25 degree with chiller.

Hi there,

I have a good colony of high grade CRS on my planted tank, with no problems on breeding them, make sure you have a fine mesh protecting your filter outflow, your dosing seems ok, i've breed them on EI levels, but using a much leaner dosing these days, with a lot more shrimplets ...

Lower the water temp. to 23 degree, this is the best temperature for them to breed ... And more oxygen will be avaiable ...
