Our experience is similar, except for no babies from July - September last year.
Whenever we discover our marbled male longfin ancistrus (with the albino gene) is protecting eggs in our 135 gallon angelfish tank, we move him & the cave to our 54 gallon corner grow out tank. When the babies are free swimming, he goes back to the 135. 2-4 weeks later he's on eggs again. Last year, we sold well over 300 3"+ babies to some of the LFS within 75 miles of our home.
Once the tank is well set up for breeding most fish will do it often as mentioned. If you are wanting max production, it can be increased a bit with good feeding practices. But then have in mind some way to move those fish along as they can soon overrun your ability to grow them out to sale size.
