I was thinking about buying a Ozelot Amazon Sword and Brazilian micro sword as a forground plant to add to my cabomba and rotala backround. I was hoping some of you could share their expiriences with these plants and give me some advice before I commit myself. They would be going in a twenty gallon tank with DIY CO2 injection, 55 watts at 6500K and a PH of 7.4.

I've had excellent results with Brazilian micro sword in a 4wpg, pressurized co2, and fertilized (EI) environment. Very dense growth forming a mat of carpet all over the tank. I've recently pulled up a whole piece of the carpet and sold it, and now am letting it grow out again. I have read that it is a demanding plant, but have not tried it in other conditions. Mine grows to a height of about 12 cm, which is a little taller than I expected.

Echinodorus 'Ozelot' - be it green, red, or golden cultivar of it - will become somewhat big for your tank. More like a background plant... it will be taking a space of at least 1 foot (30 cm) each way. Well, it all depends on what you want and like, really... Otherwise, the 'Ozelots' are really easy, adjusting and fast swords.
