Hi all,

I had a plastic check valve in place after my regulator and got my brass check valve in the mail today. However, when I put it on, no co2 comes out of the tube and into the tank. I made sure the arrow on the valve was pointing in the way of the co2 flow. Does that mean it's broken? Thanks.

The brass valve may need more pressure to open than the plastic valve requires. Try increasing your working pressure and see if that gets the CO2 flowing again.

Once you get the check valve to open the first time it often takes less pressure to open it again. But, if you remove it, store it a few months and put it back, the same thing happens. This was my experience, at least, with the Clippard check valve.
