Ok, its been a while since I've updated anything so here goes. I tore down the 60F a while back but just didn't have a chance to redo it again till today.

The main fish for this tank will be a trio of Scarlet Badis (1 male 2 female). They're currently in the 60H awaiting for their new home to finish. I'm trying to create a very low current set-up for the Badis. With the height being so short long stems are out of the picture. I want to try HC as a carpet, im going to DSM so hopefully I get a very good coverage. For the back I want to try growing out some blyxa so it can create a wall of some sort. Plants will be added as I come across some nice ones that I might want to try.

here are some pictures of the tank. Thanks for looking. I'll be sure to updated this. Can't find my camera so here are some iphone pics.

Light green is blyxa, green on rock is algae, dark gree with black circle is petite nana, green on carpet is *hopefully* HC.

Looks like a good plan. I got a 10g quickly filling in with HC doing the DSM. Good luck, can't wait to see the progress!
That should look awesome!

Can i get the full dimensions of the tank...love the look of it
that's going to look great!

clean your pipes :/

Thanks the tank size is 24x7x12. I love shallow tanks.

LOL. Thanks. Im actually going to be taking out the outflow for a DIY spraybar. It was an idea I thought of a while back but didn't have time to fabricate.

nice boon i like that last picture lol
Thanks! I got the idea from one of the members on here, I forgot who it was though. Its a real easy way to visualize the tank before you do anything just incase something isn't right. Just take a picture and edit it with paint if your too lazy to use photoshop (like me).
Hey Boon! I really like the hardscape! looks awesome! why don't you try e. belem as a foreground?
I don't think I've seen a scape from you that I didn't like a lot. I look forward to seeing how this one turns out.
I think the real awesome thing is that somehow you have two female Badis badis... How did you manage to get those?

Thanks Dan and Chris, this is one is tougher than the others that I've done. I want this one to be ADA quality:)(I can try that is). As for the foreground, I might go with staurogyne repen 049. I like the way they look and less maintenance as far as pruning and mess goes. I might try two different foreground plants for this tank.

I got them from Jojo's in Sacramento. I went there last week just to browse and see if they had updated anything since I last been there. I talked to one of the employee and he told me that he ask the shop owner to get females also since he's also in plantedtank and would like to keep some. I'm pretty sure I got two females. They are very pale, almost no coloration except for maybe 2-3 small red stripes and a more plump round body/abdomen. The male that I have is very colorful.

I mess with the scape a bit and kind of spread the rocks a little further apart on the right. Then I cover the DW end with more ASA so it looks like it's coming out of the ground rather than the rocks sitting on top. My wife said she like this one better and the slope looks more pleasing. I'm going to spend some time and photoshop some plants on there. I'll post up once I finish.

Thanks for looking.

Ok, It's been a few weeks since I've done anything. I scraped the last layout and went with this one. I had some F.Fontanus growing on here and didn't want it to go to waste.

I had the tank up and running for almost a month now and finally added some fish and shrimp. My male Dario Dario die a few days before I got a chance to put him in.:frown: So now I have two females in here waiting on a male. I moved all the B.brigattae from the 60H to the 60F. Added some yellow shrimp last night so hopefully the Dario Dario don't go hunting. I haven't seen noticed/seem the dario dario go scouting for shrimps so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Can any shrimp expert tell me why my yellow just stay at the corner of the tank and not throughout the tank?. Thanks in advance.

Here are some photos. My battery die right before I managed to get a FTS.
ENJOY!
