Are there any good books on aquatic plants? One's like on garden plants that tell about a plant, shows pictures, and tells how tall it gets. In planning for my next planted tank I'd like to make it a lot nicer then the last, but I have no clue about which plants grow or look how.

Christel Kasselman has the best one, and by far the most detailed. It's very expensive.

The Baensch Aquarium Atlas books have hundreds of different plants.

The Tropica plant catalog is good for quick reference. Big Al's has a good price on it. The same basic plant info is available on the Tropica website for free.

Encyclopedia of Aquarium Plants by Peter Hiscock is a good one as well. I found my copy at Borders.

My favorite is the Kasselmann Aquarium Plants book. Expensive and quite botanical, but a pretty amazing work.
