Hi everyone,
I'm in Texas and my power was out for a long time this week. Thankfully I live in a newer building that's well insulated. My tank got down to 59 but seems to be ok now. Looks like the blackout killed the algae I was having a problem with!
Anyway, we're under a boil water notice and I'm past due for this week's water change. I'm afraid to use tap water and packaged water is in short supply here right now. So far I haven't had an ammonia or nitrite spike and my nitrates aren't currently detectable so I suspect I'm going to have a mini cycle
I'm not sure what to do here. They said the boil notice could be lifted as soon as one week so maybe I can just hold off and monitor everything?
Thanks everyone!
