Cool thanks for the advice.I have boiled dritwood already mounted to slate without issue. If you have a pot big enough, I say go for it.
Slate is a pretty inert rock and would easily handle the boiling point temperature of water at around 210 degree. I have boiled many rocks over the years to sterilize them. So I would not hesitate to boil them.I have this mounted drift wood. Can I safely boil it with the slab attached??
