I got a BN pleco about a year ago for my 20 gallon (at the time) non-planted tank. He never ever left his hole in the driftwood for anything except at night.
But about 3 days ago I upgraded my tank to be planted and this morning I woke up and he was swimming around the bottom happy as can be.Im really excited.

It's amazing how much more active aquarium inhabitants are--especially the normally shy ones--with a more natural habitat.

Nice to hear your pleco came out. I hope you will still love him unconditionally. Now you know why he appreciated the redecorating!!!!
