Hi everyone... new here and new to nano planted tanks.

My first question: Blyxa. Is it really difficult to keep alive? What special requirements does it have? I can't find much on this plant. Everything I read about requirements seems rather basic but then it says it is a difficult species.

Thanks for any help.

I'd say it is 'moderate' difficulty. medium to high light, co2 injection, and fertilizers and you are good to go. Some have problems with it melting when introduced to a tank. Mine is growing nicely and never melted. Some have problems keeping it down to get it rooted. I sprinkled sand in the leaves to weigh it down and had no problems. gl
