blue moonlights on planted+

Are these important for plant growth or are they purely aesthetic for evening display? In other words, do people typically run these along with the reds and whites?

Some do, but of little value I believe.

I run mine on my 10g to make the light brighter to my eyes. With out them on the tank has a warmer look to me.

i ran mine for awhile on my 29. seems like i had nothing but problems with algae. stopped running the blues and the algae was gone in a week. no problems now that im running red and white only. just my experience with them.
