What is the chance of Blue bee shrimp mating with OEBT's ?

I recently received a blue bee as a surprise gift when I bought some other shrimp from a breeder. Now I only have the one "blue bee" shrimp but I'm expecting a small amount of OEBT juvies the beginning of the week.

Thanks,

Marty

Ya, from what I've read blue bees are paracardina, and only a few people have many any cross breeds with them work.

So would it be safe to say that "theoretically" , it is possible for them to breed together?

But OTOH, "realistically" the chance of them interbreeding is "slim to none", right?

On "Planet Inverts" the Blue Bee shrimp is considered to be a "Caridina sp. "Blue Bee" .

Another site says its a "paracaradina" ! Sure wish I knew what genus they really are.

For the sake of our hobby, I sure hope someone would pass around some correct and "less confusing" information.

Thanks,

Marty

It's paracaridina. And you're right, maybe once in a great while you'd get some sort of mixed offspring (which would look mostly like a blue bee), but that would be a rarity.
