Hey guys I live in Brooklyn and want to buy Black Diamond or comparable black sand at comparably cheap prices somewhere in the NYC area. I'm going to have to uber/yellow cab it home due to the lack of car so hopefully not too far. I've checked big box stores, local hardware stores and am kinda running out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated I'm trying to put my substrate in the next week.

Some places only carry the fine grit, you want the medium grit. I accidentally purchased the fine grit and it compacts very easily, its usuable but I find the medium grit works much better

i think i might have found something thanks man, I'll report back. Black diamond doesn't show anything in the state, I hadn't even thought of Black Beauty.
