no aquarium products on sale?

I have a feeling this year's sales numbers are going to be really low.
I was at the store at 6, nothing i had on my list was available. I wont do that again. They wonder why holiday sales are down, its simple, nobody wants to play the game anymore. Either have whats in the paper or dont list it, having 5 of them in a city of 200,000 is ridiculous.

you're right... it's all hype by the stores.
Nothing great this year, so I just stayed at home. I bought off amazon though, had a bunch of pretty good deals, but I missed out on a few.

My uncle did go to walmart though and get a pretty decent laptop for $380 or so. Should've bought a few, but he doesn't know anything about computers, and didn't wanna wake me up, lol.

I guess post your deals!
2x PS3 Controllres for $20 each
1x Logitech quikcam (-$30 after rebate) :D yes negative
1x Logitech mouse $7 after rebate
1x Pursuit of happyness dvd $7

Not bad, but this year deals suck!
I scored an Elmo Aquadoodle at Target 40% off for my niece.

Businesses do this sort of thing all of the time, just on a smaller scale. The industry term is a loss-leader. They advertise items that are near their cost or they actually take a small loss on to get customers in the store. Ice Cream always gets me in the grocery store. :icon_cool
I woke up at 4:30, went to 4 stores and ended up with a very disappointing amount of stuff. Most of it wasn't on sale, but they'd throw it into a bin to trick you into thinking it was...It was also Way too crowded.
Woke up at eight, had breakfast, turned on computer, bought a noise-cancelling headset from Buy.com for $5, and a free after rebate CoolerMaster computer case and Power Supply from ZipZoomFly.

Black Friday is for those that believe hype and don't know what the internet is.

If you think you're getting anything good by arriving at the store at 6am, might as well go play the lotto. Chances are pretty much the same. People around here were lining up at 10pm to get computers, DVDs, etc. They line up earlier every year. Even if they had 200 of the same computer, you'd still miss out as there are that many people in line by the end of the night.

Those people play the game and win.

I got what I wanted today. Only didn't get one thing because Circuit City decided to have one cash register open for a store full of customers. They can keep it and I'll order the card off eBay.
Today was my second day working at the recently opened bass pro shops that opened near me. I worked for 6am - 3pm. When I arrived there must have been 100 or so peeps in line.

We had 12 registers open the entire time I was there and they even put me on one.

my register alone did over $27,000. If that was the average, amount of all the registers, well you do the math. Bass Pro might do things differently but I didnt hear a single customer complain that they didnt get what they were looking for. And I asked every single customer that I helped.
next week all the hot deals will be on ebaY.
I missed the $99 HD-DVD players, but picked
a NIB unit up including 5 movies and shipping
for only $145. sure beats paying ~9% sales
tax, gas, and parking to fight over a $99 item,
that normally sells for $199 with a $399 MSRP.

Probably gonna sell my webcam on ebay for about $60-70, and dunno about the other stuff.
I thought this year was pretty slim pickings, even on what was advertised.
i kinda impulsed bought a tv from bestbuy.
they had tv's that were not picked up in time ( i'm guessing you needed a ticket to get them) and i was kinda in the right place at the right time.

so now, i have a 32 inch hi def lcd tv.
didnt really need it because i have a 50 inch sony but decided to buy it to replace my 19 inch dell monitor.

19inch -> 32 inch monitor (what i'm currently using the lcd tv for)
thats a nice upgrade :icon_cool

hey, a single guy should be able to spend money if he wants...
I'd never been shopping on black Friday before, so I went this time. I figured I'd show up at 5 a.m. , be in and out of there before the crowd, and head back home for some more shut eye. I had no idea it'd be like that. There wasn't a line, but there was no room in the store. The way people were acting, I half expected to hear swine noises.

I found out that a year or two back ,in another Walmart near me, a guy died right in the store on black Friday. He was carrying an on-sale new HD tv and just keeled over with the tv landing on top of him. He was having a heart attack. Someone grabbed the t.v. and just left him there and everyone just trampled the guy and he died right there in the store.

People just act like cattle with these sales. It's disgusting to watch. It's definitely not something I'm going to be checking out next year.
get ready for this weeks business headlines;
more people went to the stores compared to last year,
yet they spent a lot less money compared to last year.
should make for an interesting stock market.

BTW, there should be free shipping tomorrow
and or special cyber monday deals at;
bluenile
toysrus
walmart
target
sears
circuitcity
crateandbarrel
overstock
-many others

free shipping at bigalsonline :)

Also, a store may have similar deals on more than one website. If it is sold out on one, check the other. I got a before noon doorbuster price on Friday, but not from the original store's website (gave the item as unavailable), but another one they were affiliated with :).
