I've recently transferred this piece
of jungle val from my grow- out tank and
one day later, I got assassin snails in my
30 gallon tank. While looking for snails, I
noticed that some of the new Val leaves
were eaten. All I have in there are unwanted
assassin snails, RCS, and guppies. Is it the
assassin snail?

Assassins prefer a meaty diet? And most snails wont bug healthy plants. Guppies eat loose leaves sometimes.. they dont do much damage on live plants tho.. is your water too soft? Baking soda?

My PH is 7.2, I'm trying to get 6.8 for the shrimp.
Not working so well :/

Yeah I can confirm assassins won't eat vals. I have 40+ assassins in my shrimp tank with vals, neglected them for a few months (didn't toss in feeder snails) and they never ate any plant matter at all. Only thing they ate was algae wafers because of the proteins in them.
