Hello all,

Are there any big fish out there that wont tear up the tank?

This may not be as big as you had in mind but, some rainbowfish and angelfish can get relatively big, for a community tank.
Silver dollars, if you don't want the tank to be a planted one.
Angelfish, if you don't have smaller fish.
Discus, if you are willing to shell out big bucks.
Brichardi cichlids, if you don't have smaller fish and can keep the pH at a higher-than-normal level (7.5-8.5).
Bala sharks, if you have open spaces for them to swim freely in.
There are a few others...

They get way too big for a 75 gallon and they do better in groups.

Try any of the upper-jaw bichirs (except ornates) or ropefish.
I have filament barbs in my tank with no plant damage as far as i can tell. Though the do devour duck weed.
