Sorry if this has been covered in the past. I am moving some Halocaridina rubra into larger tanks. I currently have a white and black substrate I think it is Caribsea Indo-Pacific black. About 90% white. They seem to get lost on it. So I am looking for the best color to contrast my red shrimp. While green may be the best contrast to red I think green substrate may look unnatural. Caribsea has a Hawaiian Black substrate. Seems like a nice fit for Hawaiian shrimp. Any thoughts? The substrate is for looks only as no plants are viable. I have base rock and coral for buffering.
