I am going to be setting up a 4 gallon nano tank. Plan on using a CPL 6500k twisted over it. Probably will just house shrimp. Would like to avoid the expense of another pressurized co2 setup, and I dont want to hassle with DIY CO2. I would appreciate advice on what plants people have successfully done in an excel only nano tank.
for example, has anybody had success with HC in a setup like this?
thanks

Most plants, with the exception of Vals do pretty good with Excel. My Vals all melted too with excel, but I've since stopped dosing it in my tanks with Vals.

I am actually running a 5.5gl nano that has tonnes of Microsoeum var. 'needle', and a bunch of Anubias nana, and Crypt. Wendetti. All of them are doing great. Oh, I also have Marsilea quadrifolia.

Here's a list of plants that I've had success with in Excel-only nanos:

HC, dwarf hairgrass, dwarf sag, Rotala indica, Mayaca fluviatilis, Marsilea quadrifolia, Utricularia graminifolia, Echinodorus tenellus, java fern, mosses, duckweed (lol), Hemianthus micranthemoides

I even got some Blyxa japonica to persist in an excel-only tank.
