Best place to get rocks for aquascaping

I'm looking for suggestions as to the best place to get rocks for my aquascape. I live in NYC so scavenging in the woods is not an option for me.

What do you think of these?

Landscaping stores... Check brooklyn or even out in LI.
you may want to spend some time in this forum;

this web sight sells most of the Feller line;

when buying on ebaY, don't bid until you confirm the
shipping with the seller by emailing him your zip code.
many heavy/bulky items sellers make more of their
profits on shipping, since it's the portion ebaY can't tax.

I would also explore the remaining Flower District
around 6th-7th Ave in the mid to high West 20's.
There are still a lot of Bonsai shops around that
sell sticks and stones useful for fish aquariums.

IMHO: your blue stone looks too artificial for a planted tank.
so unless you want to go back to plaster castles, bubble
wands and cute No Fishing signs, let the plants and fish
be your color, and everything else a textured landscape.

IN Petland discount, they started stocking these very nice red brownish rocks that has steps and look like mountains.
And im not talking about slate
I am going to check out the flower district this weekend.
It's better to go during any midweek lunch hour. many of these stores serve the flower indoor garden resellers trade,
and are closed evenings and weekends especially this Month while the Xmas tree sellers try to take over the block.

I second the landscaping supply suggestion. I bought 140 lbs of granite boulders from a landscaping supplier for $13. Here are some pics.

Little off-topic- is it worth going to the flower district to buy bonsai or cacti?What are the prices?I've never been there before.
