I'm curious what you guys/gals use for image hosting?

Photobucket is what I use, you can get up to 10 gigs for free.

I use tinypic. Don't need an account, just upload and copy paste the BBCode they give you. The only downside is they don't really save images for you to go back to if you need to keep stuff uploaded and accessible.

I know there is some editing capabilities. not sure about watermarks. Deviant art does water marks

I use Imgur.

You can choose to make an account, or upload images without an account.

OK, so been doing a little researching and the only site that flat out said it has watermark capabilities was SmugMug. But only if you get the $150 a year subsricption.


I'm basically looking for image hosting, storage, editing, and watermark capabilities. I do not mind paying a small annual subscription but not $150.

Any suggestion?

There are other threads on this exact topic... I don't know of flickr does all that you are wanting but you start out with a terabyte free which hold most people over for a while.

OK, smugmug has what I want but in order to get watermarking capabilities, there is an annual fee of $150!

I guess I will just watermark them on a separate site then upload them on an image hosting site???

Photoshop or any editor. You then upload them.

I really like Dropbox. Makes uploading pictures from your mobile and computer to one place super easy.

My primary hosting site is Snapfish which is a leftover of an old Xfinity (Comcast) / Snapfish agreement. A secondary hosting site I use is Google + Photos.

For editing photos and adding a watermark my primary choice is Photoscape (free software) and a more robust but more complicated alternate I use is GIMP (also free software). Where to get the watermark to insert? There are several watermark generators online as well as software to make a watermark.
