best grain size to use of black beauty sand blasting sand??

I'm going to pick up a bag of black beauty sand blasting sand later today. is there a specific grain size i should be looking for when used in a planted tank?? Thanks in advance.

I use the medium grade (12/40) of black beauty blasting sand in my tanks.

My local tractor supply only had the finest grade. It's decent in a nano, but my fish were kicking it up in my HOB filter and clogging it to hell.

Lesson learned.

use the medium grade 20/40. if your TSC is out they can order it in for you at no extra charge.
