:icon_lol: hi does anybody have any suggestions what colour substrate to use with an aquarium containing alot of grey and purple state and a few diff species of tiger barb eg what would enhance the colour of the fish the best also what will blend best with the slate but bearing in mind i would not like white I had this in another of my tanks and was forever cleaning it

also to mention there will be annubias nana tied to the rocks so shouldnt matter about having a planting media for the substrate

Black is best for tigers. The orange and black/green of the tigers really pops out against black substrates. I would get 3M black sand or Tahitian moon sand. Black will also like you said hide fish waste a lot better.

Black is the way to go, and Flourite Black is a good black, but I think colorquartz black is a little blacker.
