I am a beginner with a 90g tank. I just put in a bunch of plants (mosses, Amazon swords, dwarf hair grass, dwarf baby tears, rotalla wallichii) and marsiliea crenata) in yesterday. I have a good light. I am hooking up CO2. Now I want to figure out how to use these fertilizers I was given.

• K2SO4
• KH2PO4
• KNO2
• Flourish Comprehensive
• A mystery bag from gregwatson.com

From various research and a couple of calculators, I think I add the following:

• KNO3- 5.3g- 3 times a week
• KH2PO4- 1.5g- 3 times a week
• Flourish comprehensive- 2.3g- 2 times a week

And then I do a 50% water change weekly.

Is this a good plan? Also, anyone know what that mystery bag is?

I Saved this from a PT thread a few months ago. I think it will help. I apologize for not knowing who posted this, but at the time I thought it was simply to the point.

'You can dose just 3 dry chemicals and have a complete menu of nutrients for the plants. Dose potassium nitrate (KNO3) for potassium and nitrogen, mono potassium phosphate (KH2PO4) for phosphorous and a tiny bit more potassium, and a trace element mix of which CSM+B is the most available and cheapest. 40~60gal
50% H20 change-weekly
1/2 Tsp-KN03 3x a week
1/8 Tsp-KH2P04 3x a week
3/4 Tsp-GH booster once a week
1/8Tsp-Trace 3x a week
