I have always wanted a koi pond and now I get one! It is just quite a bit smaller than I would have thought it would be.

I am using a 5.5 gallon tank and using a u-tube to connect it with my other 5.5 gallon tank. I will have the intake in one tank and the outflow in the other. You can find my other tank journal here: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/12-tank-journals/1125882-high-tech-iwagumi-betta-tank.html

The koi pond is still drying but it is going to go under the bridge. Also, the plant list is different than what is on the drawing.

Real plant list:

HC
Alternanthera reineckii "Mini"
Ludwigia "Super red Mini"
Lobelia Cardinalis 'Mini'
Baby Tears Giant
Staurogyne repens

I built some retaining walls out of polymer clay. I thought it would look cool.

Finely got the tank planted. I also bought a auto dosing pump. I am really excited for that because I keep forgetting to do my EI dosing.

Final plant list:
Dwarf Baby tears
Alternanthera reineckii "Mini"
Ludwigia "Super red Mini"
Lobelia Cardinalis 'Mini'
Giant baby tears
Staurogyne repens

cool idea. looks good so far. cant wait to see the plants max out on growth.
That's really neat. I randomly watched someone make a koi pond for a dollhouse bc somehow it was suggested to me on YouTube. The pond you made looks great. I don't think I have the patience necessary to make something like that. Awesome job!
Very nice artwork! I love the look. Realistic yet whimsical. The wall looks difficult to make. I am only able to make geometric type cookie cutter things with polymer clay.

The walls were not to hard to make. They were just really time consuming. I had to form each rock individuality.
