Aside from Molly's what small ornate fish eat black beard or brush algae? I want something small like an otto for my apisto tank.
Bba eaters?

Nothing will make a dent on BBA. They might nibble but it's good old 'elbow grease' that'll get rid of it.

I can say from experience that my flag fish eat it, and to the point where I went from alot of it to it being non existent. But Mr. Green is right about their temperament I would be especially cautious with apistos who share a similar niche in the aquarium. This is a very interesting killie that behaves more like a cichlid in breeding habits. But then again apistos can hold their own as well so it might be worth trying it out.

I may just leave it be and it should go away soon. I believe the culprit of the bba was nitrates being at 80ppm. Which is extremely high. But my fish are ok and my plants are doubling about every day

hungry nerite snails will make a good dent.....they cleaned off my anubias, and pvc pipe, and have since done a good job keeping off. sadly they don' eat it off of my buces :-(
