No, not gold barb. Capoeta semifasciolatus or Half-striped barb/green barb. On the side note, I found information that they were most likely responsible for the mutation or hybridization of gold barbs which do not exist in the wild.:smile:
I'm almost 99% sure that what you have there is a gold barb, juveniles have hardly any black coloration at all, they develop their black greenish sheen when they sexually mature. I have two mature goldies and 2 three month old juveniles and they look almost identical to your fish.
