sweet deal!
i agree. this is so interesting on how im basicly starting a "city" i provide the light/food/landscape and such.mine are still microscopic and flying about on the glass. I have noticed that some have grown large enough for me to identify a tail though. It's really quite fascinating for any live animal to breed under your captivity (except for maybe guppies, I somehow find that kind of monotonous and boring).
they are! one of the reasons i put them there. I also have a dwarf puffer tank on teh other side. I love it water changes and adding water is a breeze.oh man next to the sink? water changes must be awesome to do.
those bushes are unintentional. Those pushes started out as small HC plants i planted there but instead of spreading they just grew all bushy and bigger idk what happened to them must be the actinic light. below is a pic from when i first planted it sorta.Omg! got any more pics of your tank?? I love the look of all the "bushes"
Very cool!
oh yes im very very happy. This is my first population boom. I had problems keeping them alive for 4 months. I finally found out why 2 months ago and now im ready for shrimp city!Very nice, thanks for the pictures. I too just had a RCS population boom, isn't it great?!
I too had problems in the beginning due to temperature but I was able to take care of it with a heater and a fan to maintain a constant steady temperature.I had problems keeping them alive for 4 months. I finally found out why 2 months ago and now im ready for shrimp city!
thx!! means alotBetween the healthy coloring in your plants and the shrimp babies I would say that your tank gets an A+ for balance ! Great job...
i did find one shrimp but that was my fault i forgot it sucked one in when i had teh filter on trying to clean teh sponge. Ive been checking the filter about once a week but not for shrimp. The canister is making funny noises and i have to take it apart and wash it out for some reason. My CRS tank is in my bathroom easy water changes.
Congrats on your shrimplets! Keep in mind even with a sponge filter, it seems shrimplets still wind up in your filter. I found some in 2 days, back to back. So I got an empty filter bag with no carbon and wrapped that around my HOB intake. Lets see if it will work.
ya. im pretty new to this planted tank thing. I tried to do as much research as i could but i guess i got alot of miss information. i was told to do 2-3 bubbles per second for my 20 gallon. Well i guess that was to much and killed all my shrimp constantly. Finally i figured out why the shrimp only comes out at night out of the moss(night when everything is off only LED on) they were dying of Co2 poisoning.I too had problems in the beginning due to temperature but I was able to take care of it with a heater and a fan to maintain a constant steady temperature.
Do you mind me asking what problem you had and how you solved it?
